WhatsApp now allows 32 users to make video calls

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that enables group video calls of up to 32 people. This innovation is not yet available, but will be included in a future update. Currently a maximum of 8 people can participate in the conference call.

At a time when group video chats have become a part of our lives, WhatsApp seems a little behind. It has become possible to group only eight participants into a voice or video call. Soon, that number will rise to 32.

Mark Zuckerberg himself announced the news on Facebook. No major details have been mentioned yet, but this highly anticipated update is coming:

"We're currently rolling out Call Links for WhatsApp starting this week, allowing you to share call links with one click. We're also testing encryption for video calls with up to 32 people."
